Our unique and sensational two-wheel journey with Royal Enfield 500 cc motorbike starts in the bustling city of Kathmandu. After a test ride in Kathmandu, the journey continues in the middle of lust landscape to Pokhara. After spending two leisure days in Pokhara, the ride ascends towards the foothill of the highest peaks in the world till Muktinath, 3600 meters. After an inspiring and challenging ride in the altitude, we descend to the south to experience relaxing days with a jungle Safari in Chitwan. The whole journey is designed in a unique way to discover the Himalaya on a Royal Enfield motobike.

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
Welcome by the representative of WILD YAK EXPEDITIONS and transfer to the hotel. As the hotel is located close to the UNESCO Boudhanath heritage site, our representative will take you after check-in to the hotel for a discovery tour. Dinner is at in the typical Nepali or Tibetan, or Italian restaurant according to the mutual discussion.

Day 02
UNESCO Sightseeing – Introduction of 500 Enfield and the Team
After breakfast at the hotel, an introductory meeting is scheduled in the hotel garden to exchange knowledge and tips regarding the trip.
On our first day of travel, also considered as a “warm up”, we drive north of Kathmandu to the famous Kopan monastery, then we drive south-east of Kathmandu to the historic old town of Bhaktapur. Today it’s all about learning and getting familiar with the Nepalese traffic system, the Royal Enfield motorcycle mechanics, gaining confidence, getting to know the team and visiting some remarkable monuments.

Day 03
Kathmandu to Pokhara
After a good breakfast, we leave Kathmandu behind and take the national road southbound, which is the only road to India. Nearly 90% of the goods to Kathmandu are carried by this road and the traffic is heavy. Our guide will escort the group, followed by the group’s mechanic. Our support vehicle will follow the group.
In spite of some construction sites during our journey, the majority of the roads are asphalt, wide and well maintained. Nearly 30% of the trip will be along the Trisuli River before leaving the national road. After 100 kilometers, our route will divert westward, leaving behind us the national road to Pokhara. The air becomes much cooler and the landscape lush. Along the way, we stop for a typical Nepalese lunch.

Day 04
Around Pokhara
Pokhara is the second largest city in Nepal and also one of the most beautiful. It is well known for its landscape, the lake Phewa, and the magnificent Annapurna range, composed of the emblematic sacred mountain: Machapuchhara. We go to Sarongkot, where we spend some time in the nature. Today is considered a rather relaxing day.

Day 05
Pokhara to Kalapani
Our epic ride begins! After the breakfast, we take at the beginning the same road as the day before in direction of Sarangkot. Instead of going up, we head north along the picturesque terraces of the rice fields. After about two hours on a pleasant asphalt road and 85 kilometers to reach the locality of Beni, our journey to Kalapani becomes more difficult. The traffic with the local buses and jeeps intensifies.
The landscape is typically Nepalese, with a lush forest, small terraces of vegetation and tiny typical houses. Another exciting part of our trip today is the Kaligandi River, which we will follow for almost 50% of our journey. At the end of the day we reach the authentic lodge, where we can enjoy good food with organically grown products.

Day 06
Kalapani to Jomsom
The trip is relatively short, but fascinating with a radical change of scenery; from lush forest to a fascinating more austere setting at the foot of the first high Himalayan peaks, such as the Nilgiri and Tukche Peak in the background. On the way, we stop at the small town of Marpha, famous for its apple whisky. Also popular nowadays among Nepalese filmmakers for its typical houses and narrow streets.

Day 07
Jomsom to Muktinath
Today, the trip is considered more spiritual as we will visit some of the most sacred places for Buddhists and Hindus. Due to the structure of the landscape, the wind can be strong between Jomsom and Muktinath in the afternoon.
We take advantage of the morning to go to the village of Kagbeni, also known as the gateway to Tibet and Upper Mustang. After Kagbeni, our route climbs up 200 meters to the place of pilgrimage of Muktinath. On the way, we stop in Jarkot, where we visit the old monastery of the village and its Tibetan medicine pharmacy.
In the late afternoon, we reach Muktinath to visit its temple, a very sacred place for some religions. From the temple, the view is splendid on Dhaulagiri, 8167 meters, Nilgiri, Tukche Peak, Tilicho Peak.

Day 08
Muktinath to Tatopani
We have reached our end point. From today, we are heading towards Pokhara, following the same route. We will not stay in the same places as before, but stay in the village of Tatopani, where we can enjoy its natural hot baths for a relaxing moment at the end of the day.
We stay in a clean and typical Nepalese lodge, where we can enjoy good food with organically grown products.

Tatopani to Pokhara
Our journey follows the same itinerary as the outward journey. After about two hours we are back on the main asphalt road to Pokhara.

Day 10
Pokhara to Chitwan
We take the national road to Kathmandu. After about 100 km, we branch off to the plains of Nepal to the Chitwan National Park. In the evening, we attend a new show in the village of the “Tharu” ethnic group, where the villagers make us discover their traditional songs and dances until late in the evening.

Day 11
Safari Day
After breakfast, the local guide takes us for a memorable safari. In his company, we visit the elephant breeding centre, the Rapti River to see the crocodiles, and receive exciting explanations about the local fauna, flora and the many species of local birds.
After lunch we go on an authentic jungle safari on elephant back and discover all kinds of animals. Why not the Royal Bengal tiger, rhino or leopard!
