WILD YAK EXPEDITIONS focuses on security and quality. We believe that this is the best way to guarantee an excellent and relaxed alpine experience. 

In addition, we adapt the group size to the conditions in the mountains in order to guarantee the best security for you and our guide. Hence, we benefit from greater flexibility and can better tailor a persona support. 

TECHNICAL LEVEL

This tour is on the challenging side – snow and ice slopes of 35° to 45° on a short section for the ascent of the Naso del Lyskamm. Previous experience with crampons and life in a refuge will make your stay more enjoyable.

PHYSICAL LEVEL

Excellent physical condition is essential, with the ability to carry a rucksack for 6-7 hours of walking per day.

A full list of personal equipment will be given to you when you register.

OVERNIGHT STAYS IN MOUNTAIN HUTS

Please note that, depending on the season, there may be no running water in the mountain huts. Similarly, in some refuges you may not be able to recharge your electronic devices. So remember to take an external recharger.

WILD YAK ADVICE

Don’t underestimate the altitude of this route, and the altitude of the refuges where we’ll be staying. Prior acclimatisation is a real plus, and will enable you to make the most of your high-mountain trek, as well as ensuring your cramponing technique.

Be rigorous when packing your rucksack – an extra kilo can be a kilo too much!
