A major objective to mark the end of the ski touring season: the ascent of Mont Blanc!
From Chamonix, we’ll head to the Grands Mulets refuge for our attempt to climb Mont Blanc via the North Ridge of the Dôme du Goûter. These 3 days dedicated to climbing Mont Blanc represent a great effort, as well as a fine blend of ski touring and mountaineering.
Dedicating three days to such an ascent allows you to reach the valley with peace of mind and without any time pressure, which is a real guarantee of safety. And beyond that, the assurance of a real communion with the mountain, and the joy of savouring a beautiful evening in the heart of a high mountain glacier world.

We take the Aiguille du Midi gondola to the Plan de l’Aiguille station. Time to take a few photos, and we head south towards the north face of the Aiguille du Midi before starting the traverse to the Jonction, where the ascent and descent routes on the west face of Mont Blanc meet. We descend to the flat part of the Glacier des Bossons and cross it to reach the slopes below the Dôme Du Gouter. The Grands Mulets refuge is located on the left ridge, at 3057m / 10,029 ft

Day 02
Refuge Grands Mulets – Mont Blanc – Refuge Grands Mulets
It’s an early start, but not too early, because after our ascent we’ll be sleeping again at the Grands Mulets refuge. We cross the glacier to reach the base of the Dôme du Goûter ridge. We then follow the ridge with crampons on and skis on (short passages at 35/40°) before reaching the summit of the Dôme du Goûter. Then, via the Bosses ridge, we make our way to the summit of Mont Blanc.
From the summit, return to the Grands Mulets refuge via the Petit and Grand Plateau.

Refuge des Grands Mulets -> Chamonix
Return to Plan de l’Aiguille, then down the valley with the cable car.

TECHNICAL LEVEL REQUIRED
Excellent command of all-snow skiing and conversions. Mastery of basic mountaineering techniques (climbing with crampons and ice axe, belaying with rope).
Short passages at 35/40° both on the way up and on the way down
PHYSICAL LEVEL REQUIRED
Very good physical condition, able to carry a rucksack, prior acclimatisation is an advantage and a guarantee of comfort for this climb.
