A great opportunity to close the 2020/2021 ski touring season.
From the Refuge des Grands Mulets above Chamonix, we start the climb of Mont Blanc by its north ridge of the Dôme du Goûter. It is a fantastic mixte of skitouring and mountaineering above 4000m.
Dedicating three days to such an ascent is a real guarantee of safety. It ensures no time pressure and a allows us to reach the valley with serenity. And beyond that, we can enjoy a real communion with the mountain, and appreciate a beautiful evening in a majestic place as reward for our previous efforts.

From Chamonix, we take the Aiguille du Midi Cable Car to the Plan de l’Aiguille Mid station. We head south towards the Aiguille du Midi north face and further traverse. After meeting the Junction with the west face descent routes, we drop down onto the Flat section of the Glacier des Bossons and head across it to the slopes underneath the Dome Du Gouter. The Refuge des Grands Mulets is on the ridge to the left, situated at 3057M/10,029ft.
Take a relaxed afternoon before the next day adventure. Enjoy the majestic surroundings.

Day 02
Hut Grands Mulets – Mont Blanc – Hut Grands Mulets
Early morning start from the Refuge des Grands Mulets. We cross the glacier to join the base of the North Ridge of the Dôme du Goûter. We then evolve on the ridge with our crampons and skis on the bag – short passages of 35/40° – to join the Dôme du Goûter route. The ascent continues with the skis via the famous Vallot hut. A few more meters, and we start the final walking part with our crampons via the Bosses ridge, to the summit of Mont Blanc. A breathtaking panorama rewards our ascent.
From the summit, we return to the Grands Mulets hut, by the Petit and Grand Plateau.

Hut Grands Mulets -> Chamonix
Back to the Plan de l’Aiguille, and down to Chamonix with the cable car at the beginning of the afternoon.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Excellent level of skiing in all snow conditions, and ability of doing conversions. Basic mountaineering techniques required (evolution with crampons and ice axe, belaying with rope).
Short passages at 35/40° both on the way up and on the way down.
FITNESS LEVEL
Very good physical condition, ability to carry a backpack, prior acclimatization is an asset and a guarantee of comfort to achieve this climb.
