8000 EXPEDITIONS
A dream comes true…
What attracts climbers from all over the world to 8000-meter peaks remains a mystery. But the determination, the physical and mental resistance of the climbers is fascinating. By standing at the top of an 8000 may be a dream of achieving something different from others. An idea of finally questioning oneself and exploring one’s limits is an incredible human desire.
There are fourteen 8000 summits in the world. Some of them, such as Everest, Manaslu, and Cho-Oyu, have become very popular in recent years. The climbing routes have become safer over the years, and the larger local workforce, which increase the chances of a successful summit. Lhotse, Makalu, Shishapangma, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum I & II are also attracting new climbers.
We have organized many successful expeditions in the Himalayas, from 6000-meter peaks to the roof of the world, Everest. Norbu Sherpa, the co-founder of WILD YAK EXPEDITIONS, has himself climbed Everest seven times, Cho Oyu four times, Manaslu twice, Shishapangma twice, Dhaulagiri once, Gasherbrum I and Lhotse once. We believe that climbing a summit in the Himalayas is a fascinating self-discovery process. It is like putting together a puzzle. However, the absence of any piece of the puzzle, even small, can ruin the summit dream.
It is with this thought in mind, based on our outstanding expertise, that WILD YAK EXPEDITIONS proposes the ascent of an 8000-meter summit by focusing on:
- Small-Group of only 4-6 participants
- Highly experienced and technically skilled new generation expedition Sherpa Guides, experts in their field, and helpful and humble
- 1 expedition Sherpa for 2 participants (1 – 1 for Everest)
- Latest updates for weather forecasts, powerful solar charging, route tracking, and communication
- Ultra-modern, high-performance collective mountain equipment and material
- Warm and comfortable base camp with delicious fresh food
- A collective pharmacy with medicines for the high altitude, oximeter, and oxygen, in case of emergency
